Dr. Lattimore is an avid outdoorsman. You can tell from the "natural & serene" office decor, that he enjoys many different outdoor activities. It is not uncommon to find his whole family with him enjoying camping, four wheeling, fishing & horseback riding. He also loves white water rafting whenever he can fit a trip into his schedule or hunting when his son is on leave from the Navy. Golfing is an activity he enjoys with his friends and business associates on a weekly basis in the spring, summer and fall and he is now teaching his grandchildren to enjoy the sport as well.
Due to the fact that Dr. Lattimore has his "hands" in many different sports, he knows what works when fitting glasses and contact lenses. There are specific things we can order for many of these activities to make it easier for the patient to use their correction. We have successfully fit patients with individualized shooting and golfing glasses to give them a sharper view for distance but still leaving room for near vision and reading those score cards! When it comes to fishing and rafting it is important to have straps attached to glasses so they are not lost & UV protection to reduce the progression of cataracts & ptyerygiums. When you are four wheeling or working with animals you should have shatter resistant lenses.
